What do we want?

We value Refuge and its service. We want to make it the best workplace possible

  • When called out at night, we need to know the risks involved.
  • In refuges, we need safe, healthy workplaces with heating, hot water, and pest-free environments.
  • When working overtime, we need 11 hours of rest and to be paid at least the minimum hourly rate.
  • We need management to adhere to their own policies, including annual pay rises.
  • We need job security and to be kept informed about changes during recommissioning, team consultations, or contract changes.
  • Our health needs must be respected and addressed.
